Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies, including pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits, can also store information or access information already held on your device.

This policy explains which technologies Rubik uses, why we use them, who provides them and how long they may remain. It should be read with our privacy policy because some of these technologies may involve personal data.

We do not need consent for a technology that is strictly necessary to provide a service you requested, transmit a communication or protect the site. Where an exemption does not apply, consent should be obtained before the technology is activated.

Consent must be a clear and affirmative choice. Continuing to browse, silence or a pre-selected option does not amount to consent. Choosing “Reject non-essential” should be as easy as choosing “Accept all”.

Rubik serves visitors in the UK and Ireland. Although UK rules now include limited exceptions for certain low-risk statistical uses, Irish guidance requires consent for analytics cookies. Rubik therefore treats analytics as an optional category across this site.

The services below are present in Rubik’s current website configuration. Providers may update cookie names, use more than one browser technology or change durations. This schedule describes the technologies Rubik expects to use and will be reviewed when the site or its providers change.

On current Rubik pages, use the cookie icon at the bottom of the screen to accept, reject or change optional categories. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and stops future use of the relevant technologies on those pages.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser controls may not remove information already received by a third party, so you may also need to use that provider’s privacy controls or contact Rubik.

If you withdraw consent on a current Rubik page, the page reloads so optional technologies stop running. Your choice is stored in local storage in your browser for up to six months. Strictly necessary information may remain where it is required to remember that choice, provide a requested service, maintain security or meet a legal obligation.

Some older pages on rubiktech.co are delivered through Rubik’s legacy Webflow site and may display a separate CookieScript consent interface. Use the settings control shown on those pages to manage technologies there. A choice made in one interface may not automatically carry across to the other.

Google, Meta, LinkedIn, RB2B, YouTube, Loom, Webflow and CookieScript operate their own services and may process information as independent controllers for some purposes. Their privacy notices explain how they use information, retention periods and any international transfers.

Where a provider processes personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area, Rubik uses an applicable transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. A provider’s own use of information is governed by its privacy notice and applicable law.

We may update this policy when our website, providers, legal obligations or regulatory guidance changes. Material changes to the purposes for which optional technologies are used may require a fresh consent choice.
